ZX81

This early 1980's home computer designed by "Sinclair Research" in the UK replaced the aging ZX80, which was introduced a year before.

The ZX81 was intended to be compact, cheap and fairly easy to use, and as we now know it, proved to be a tremendous success.

By the time its production was discontinues over a million and a half units were built.

The ZX81 started the home computer revolution in the UK and gave the entire population the opportunity to use home computers, as they were no longer restricted to proffessionals and to the business community.
